Rock your Engagement Session!
Engagement sessions can feel scary but honestly it is so much fun. I can't tell you how many times I heard at the end of the session "That wasn't bad at all. That was so much fun!" Or my very favorite, "I got all worked up for nothing." It's just us three hanging out really! And you get to pick your images when we are done, so this is very much a no stress zone. Below are some helpful tips to make the most out of your engagement session with Leah Vonne Imagery.
1. Location
It is so important to choose a location that holds meaning for you and your partner. Think about where you got engaged, your favorite places to hang out, where your first date was, or even your favorite park for walks or hikes. A great photo can be taken really anywhere but familiar places can also help you feel more comfortable and relaxed during our session.

2.Plan your outfits in advance.
Coordinate your outfits so they blend well together, try to avoid matching too well. You can never EVER go wrong with blending whites, creams, tans and beige together- in fact it's my favorite combos and those sessions always make it to the gram feed. Solid colors are best depending on the location but a tasteful print can always add a feminine and folklore touch. And whatever you wear just make sure that you feel your BEST and it brings out your confidence!

3.Take a Shot!
Not me encouraging you to take a little swig of liquid courage before our session. If this is your jam then I highly recommend! Just taking one shot will help you losen up and relax for our time together and enjoy yourself rather than stress. No more than one though!

4.Be Your True Selves!
Show up! The best part of your relationship is that there is NO ONE else like you which means there is no relationship like yours...anywhere. Embrace what makes you unique with all of your quirks and let them shine. If you do then your images will reflect your true selves and mean that much more to you. Mike loves making Taylor laugh if you can't tell.

5.Have a-freaking BLAST!
Remember, this is one little part of a life changing celebration of you and your partner. These moments are gone in a flash. So embrace the moment, be in the present and enjoy every second. Have fun with your partner during our time together. Laugh, Dance and show me how you make each other feel. I can take a dang good picture but it's my clients who give me a peek through the window of their love. Bring all your love for one another on our date :)

6.Props or Activities
If you and your partner have shared interests or activities then consider bringing something to represent your interests or planning an activity. This could be anything from hiking, a picnic in the park, or even playing a game of frisbee.

7.Trust Me.
There are many times you are going to feel silly, but guess what, that makes for awesome giggly photos. Trust my direction and know that I would never leave you hanging. There is a method to my madness and it's all part of the fun. Be open to try new things and trust that I know what I'm doing. I GOTCHU!
